Eye.m Pottery : Black Eyed Susan Cup
This product is currently sold out.
From potter Emily Rickards, Eye.m Pottery. Emily has created this mug as part of our Forty Two Mugs campaign. A concept by Noel & Gladys to celebrate functional art telling the stories of ceramic artists and their mugs.
Emily works with a variety of stoneware clays and enjoys stretching the plastic properties of clay to its limits to create unique forms that embrace imperfections. This can be seen in the series of twisted and swirly mugs made for this month's mug wall.
Much of her glaze designs are inspired from patterns and objects that gain her curiosity. Some of those featured in this series include the scribbly patterns on gum trees, layers observed in sandstone rock strata and the charred texture of toasted marshmallows.
Each month you'll find a new artist on our shelves featuring forty two mugs they have built, sculpted and crafted with their hands. The designs featured are chosen by the artists.
The image here is an example of what you will receive. Each piece is individually formed so no two pieces are ever made the same, ensuring your mug is that little extra special.
